Go/No-Go Scorecard EU tenders

Bid qualification, scored

Bid on the right tenders.
Guess on the rest — never again.

The Go/No-Go Scorecard watches the live EU TED feed, matches every new notice against your company profile — sectors, geographies, contract value, deadline capacity, your win history — and returns one transparent score per tender: go, conditional, or no-go.

Qualification is where bid teams lose their week

“Own each bid end to end: lead qualification and bid/no-bid decisions… Use data and AI-driven insight — win/loss history, market, client and competitor intelligence — to inform qualification.” — Bid Manager role specification, bidSolutions (specialist bid-recruitment firm). Success is measured as “qualification discipline… and the courage of the no-bids.”

The role exists, the budget exists (senior bid managers are hired at c£80–95k), and the workflow repeats for every single notice. At SME bid teams the qualification call is made from a spreadsheet, gut feel and whatever survived Monday's triage meeting.

  • 5+ paidtools already sell into this workflow — Tendersight, RFP.ai, TenderStrike, AutoRFP.ai, Loopio — but none prices the go/no-go decision itself as a discrete outcome
  • €49–349/morecorded band for self-serve tender intelligence; full response platforms run €690–1,199/mo
  • 78 signalsof market evidence behind this product — job specs, forums, competitor pages, surveys — gathered before a line of code
  • 503 liveUK bid-manager job listings on the day we researched — qualification is a paid, recurring duty, not a side task
  • 1 feedTED publishes every EU notice above threshold as open data — the raw material is public; the scoring is what's missing

From feed to verdict in one screen

1

Set your company profile

CPV sectors you actually deliver, target countries, contract-value band, how many working days your team needs to produce a bid, and your historic win-rate band. Stored in your browser — no account needed.

2

Score the live feed

We query TED's public search API for fresh notices in your sectors, then score each one on six weighted factors. Award notices and PINs are caught before they eat an afternoon.

3

Shortlist and export

Push winners to a shortlist, inspect the factor breakdown when you disagree, and export the whole decision file to CSV for Monday's pipeline review.

How the score is computed — full weights
FactorMaxHow it's scored
CPV fit2525 when a notice's CPV code falls inside your selected sectors; 17 when it shares the first three digits (adjacent sector); 4 otherwise.
Geography1515 when the buyer or place of performance is in your delivery countries; 0 otherwise.
Value fit2020 inside your band; above the ceiling scores 8 (capacity / consortium risk); below the floor 6 (effort outweighs revenue); unknown value 12.
Deadline capacity1515 when days-to-deadline covers your prep time, scaled down proportionally below it; 0 when passed or unknown on a live notice.
Notice stage15Contract notices open for bids score 15; prior-information notices 6 (early signal); award/transparency notices 0 — the decision already happened.
Win-rate prior10Your historic win-rate band applied as a prior: 2 / 5 / 7 / 10 points.

Fair questions

Where does the tender data come from?

Directly from TED — the EU's official Tenders Electronic Daily, the same feed every member state publishes above-threshold notices to. We query TED's public search API live on every run; nothing is cached, resold or staged. If the feed is unreachable we say so on screen rather than showing quiet fakes.

What exactly is a “scoring”?

One run of the scorecard against the live feed with your current profile: every matching notice scored on the six published factors, with verdicts, breakdowns and export. The pilot includes up to 10 runs over 4 weeks — one per triage session is typical.

Does it decide for me?

No — it ranks and explains. Every factor sub-score is visible per notice, and the weights are published under the tool. When you disagree with a verdict, the breakdown tells you exactly which factor moved it, and you can tune your profile instead of arguing with a black box.

Why do award notices appear at all?

Because they're free intelligence: the winner, the value and the buyer of the contract you didn't bid. They score zero on bidability by design, but they stay visible in the feed so you can learn from them. Prior-information notices score low-mid — they're early signals to prepare, not bid.

Does it write our proposal?

No. It exists one step earlier — deciding whether the proposal is worth writing at all. Response-drafting platforms start around €129/month; qualification is a different job and priced accordingly.

What happens to the data in my profile and pilot request?

Your profile (sectors, countries, value band, win-rate band) never leaves your browser — scoring happens client-side against the live feed. The pilot request form stores your email, company, role and note solely so we can reply about the pilot. No tracking pixels, no resale, no nonsense.
